Description
This is part 2 of a 3-part class to complete the entire piece. However, each piece can be taken separately (with prerequisites).
Part 2: The Rope – (Beginner/Advanced Beginner)
This versatile technique works up quickly, and makes a great rope for many beaded pendants. The class will cover the basics of Herringbone Stitch plus techniques for inserting objects (Crystals, pearls, charms, etc.) as an integral part of the rope. Attaching a clasp will be covered. Students who want to use the beaded version, will leave the clasp off (for now).
Size 11 Seed beads (Delica or Aiko) in 1 or 2 colors. If using two colors - 1 primary and 1 accent (the accent is not required, but there will be instructions for incorporating different designs using the second color accents.)
Inserts
· 4mm crystals, pearls, or other beads for ones that are the same diamete as the rest of the rope.
· Larger accents will work as well, but much larger mean that the pendant might need to be put on before working the second side of the rope.
