Sculpey is one of the oldest names in polymer clay, going back to the late 1960s, and it is made in the United States.

The matte counterpart to the gloss glaze — the same water-based sealer, finishing flat rather than shiny. It gives baked clay a durable seal without the plastic look a gloss can add, and it suits Soufflé and other matte clays where a shine would fight the surface.

Applying it: thin coats, 30 minutes between them, 24 hours to cure. Thin with a couple of drops of water if needed. Compatible with acrylic water-based products.

Test it first on a baked scrap of your own clay before committing a finished piece.
