Description
Come join us for a workshop with the woman behind Yanaya Jewlery!
Gain hands-on experience learning about the basic tools and materials used in the jewlery-making process and practice simple wire-working techniques to make a beautiful ring.
"I'm Yana, a Seattle-based jeweler and instructor specializing in jewelry-making and wire techniques, drawing inspiration from the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. I make minimalistic jewelry from gold-filled and sterling silver wire with natural gemstones, beads, and crystals. As I don't solder jewelry, I'm constantly in search of the most interesting and unusual shapes and focus on exploring the natural textures and forms."
This workshop introduces you to foundational wire-working techniques and the essential tools used in jewelry making. We'll cover the characteristics of various wires, beads, and gemstones before you select a gemstone that inspires you. With guidance, you'll design and create a one-of-a-kind ring using our wide assortment of glass beads, gemstones, and artistic wire. You'll leave with two completed rings crafted by your own hands.
All necessary tools and materials are provided. No prior experience needed.
