Cernit Nature is the stone-effect line in the Cernit range, made in Belgium by The Clay and Paint Factory. Fine mineral inclusions are suspended through the clay, so the surface breaks up into an irregular, speckled pattern rather than reading as a flat color — the effect is in the material itself, not something you have to build.

Three shades: Granite, Basalt and Savanna. Sanding after baking cuts through the surface and brings the inclusions forward, which sharpens the stone look considerably. It suits anything meant to read as rock, pottery, fossil or weathered earth, and it mixes with the rest of the Cernit range if you want the speckle carried into another color.

Discontinued in the 56g bar. Cernit has retired the individual 56g blocks of the Nature colors. What we have in stock is the last of them.

The colors themselves are not gone: all three are included as 25g mini-rolls in the Cernit Nature Assortment, alongside coordinating shades from the Number One and Opaline lines. That is the way to keep working in these colors once the bars sell through.

Baking: 230–266°F (110–130°C) for up to 30 minutes in a conventional home oven. Do not exceed 266°F.
