Welcome to a fun and interesting introduction to chainmail! Or is it chainmaille? In this class, you’ll find out all the things you need to know in order to start enjoying this historical art form… starting with the byzantine link! This complex looking chain is deceptively easy and as you learn the necessary steps you will also learn about the most efficient way to open and close jump rings, what aspect ratio is and how it can affect your projects and some cool history.

We will provide the use of classroom pliers and instructions. If you have pliers that are your favorite ones to use, feel free to bring them. Rings will not be provided for this class, but you can purchase them ahead of time at Blueberry!
